Guo Yue-Liang Leon

Yue-Liang Leon Guo, M.D., M.P.H., PH.D., obtained his medical degree from National Taiwan University in 1982, Master of Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health in 1983, and PHD in Environmental Health from Johns Hopkins university in 1987. He served residency in Internal Medicine in Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock, Texas from 1986 to 1989, and residency in Occupational Medicine in University of California at San Francisco from 1989 to 1990. He became a faculty member in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, National Cheng Kung University College of Medicine in 1990. He headed a long-term study on health effects caused by heavy exposure to polychlorinated biphenyls and related chemicals. In 2006 he became a faculty member of National Taiwan University (NTU). He was the president of Taiwan Environmental and Occupational Medicine Association (2000-2004), and the president of Asian Congress of Occupational Health (2000-2002). He has been a board member of Diagnosis of Occupational Diseases of the Ministry of Labor, and a board member of the Environmental Impact Evaluation of the Environmental Protection Administration of Taiwan. He was the editor-in-chief of the Taiwan Journal of Public Health. He is currently the director of the Department of Environmental and Occupational Medicine of National Taiwan University (NTU) College of Medicine and NTU Hospital.
