Collegium Ramazzini Newsletter - December 2021

Dear Fellows and Emeritus Fellows,
Happy Holidays from the Collegium Ramazzini!

RAMAZZINI DAYS
The 2021 Ramazzini Days were held in Virtual format once again and in late October, approximately 150 people signed on during the three days of meetings: two days of scientific sessions and the council of fellows.  40 CR fellows and colleagues presented their research. Thanks to everyone who participated.

If you want to refresh your memory or you were unable to attend, you can now watch the full sessions on our new YouTube channel. The links also include the Ramazzini Award lecture by Dr. Linda S. Birnbaum entitled “A Tale of Two ‘Toxins’: Dioxins vs. PFAS“.  See all the video links within in the attached program.  Please note – these are private links that you can see clicking the link in the pdf – they are not open to the public or searchable online.

A MESSAGE FROM CR PRESIDENT
In January 2022, Dr. Philip Landrigan will end his tenure as president and he has prepared the following goodbye message for the Collegium.

“Dear Fellows of the Collegium Ramazzini,
As the year 2021 draws to its close, the time has come for me to thank all of you for having entrusted me with the Presidency of our Collegium for these past 24 years. I have had the honor to follow in the footsteps of two giants in our field, our first two Presidents, Profs. Irving J. Selikoff and Eula Bingham.  I now pass the torch with gratitude to Prof Melissa McDiarmid.
There are many whom I wish to thank for their support on this long journey.”
