NOMINATIONS FOR THE RAMAZZINI
The Awards Committee is requesting nominees for the 2022 Ramazzini Award. Fellows are invited to submit nominations to the Awards Committee by sending them to the
Committee Chair Henry Anderson (firstname.lastname@example.org). Please include some background on the nominee including why you believe that the person deserves this award and their CV or biographical sketch. Henry will contact you directly if more information is needed.
In addition, several years ago, the CR created another award for people who have made a significant contribution to promote occupational and environmental health issues but may not fit the full criteria for the Ramazzini Award. This person may be a leader of a labor organization, an activist organization, or similar group that is working on a specific issue or general occupational or environmental health issues. The emphasis should be on issues where the collegium has been active. The CR awards this when necessary. Also, in this case you should contact Henry.
MEMBERSHIP NOMINATIONS AND EMERITUS STATUS REQUESTS
The deadline for submitting nominations for membership in the Collegium Ramazzini is 15 August. Nominations (CV and nomination letter) should be sent electronically to the General Secretariat at email@example.com by August 15 of each year for consideration at the October annual meeting of the Executive Council. Nominations are considered valid for a period of 3 years; updated information about the candidate may be submitted on an annual basis. Please review the nomination guidelines here.
If you would like to be considered for Emeritus membership, please your request to the Executive Council through the General Secretariat by 15 August. Emeritus Fellows are invited to attend annual meetings but they are no longer responsible for annual membership dues and do not vote in elections.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUES
Annual membership dues are currently being collected in the amount of 300 USD. Dues are now paid each calendar year. It is also possible to pay eventual arrears in the same transaction. You can see your payment status on your CR Profile page, but if you are uncertain about your financial standing with the organization, please send a note to Treasurer Mark Robson with General Secretariat Susannah Tillson in cc.
It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our beloved Fellow Raul Harari passed away last month. Fellow Pietro Comba, with the help of Raul's family, prepared the CR Obituary that you can read in full on our website in the dedicated section.
Kind regards from Bologna,
The General Secretariat of the Collegium is located in the Castle of Bentivoglio, near Bologna.
